Claire has been a partner at Haverstock since 2006, leading numerous successful projects in a range of sectors, specialising in educational design for SEND and disabled children, young people, and adults.

Claire has extensive experience working on a wide range of projects, including schools, SEND provisions, colleges, Blue Light facilities, and Supported Housing, and often collaborating with local authorities on strategic SEND planning.

Alongside her role at Haverstock, Claire is a technical advisor the Department for Education, gaining an in-depth understanding of the latest design specifications. Under her leadership, Haverstock’s pioneers sustainability initiatives in educational design, leading two of the first schools under the DfE’s Sustainability Pilot Scheme, aimed at achieving the government’s net zero greenhouse gas emissions target by 2050.

David has been a partner at Haverstock since 2006. He has extensive experience of providing architectural design, client design advisor and technical advisor architectural services across all sectors, specialising in SEND projects. He has vast experience working on supported living accommodation, school design, specialist schools (SEND/all through/resource provisions/alternative provisions/Pupil Referral Units) and colleges, police facilities, offices and residential projects.

David has an unparallelled understanding of current specifications in line with funding streams for living and learning settings and is passionate about working with clients to ensure supports users towards an independent life. David also works as a Technical Advisor for the Department for Education and has in depth knowledge of current space standards and sustainable targets for schools and seeks to create the very best solutions for end users

David is exceptionally organised and a strong advocate for quality management within the design and construction process and heads this up in our studio.

Tom has been a partner at Haverstock since 2008 after being rated in Building Designs top 100 graduates, obtaining the Foulkes Memorial Prize for outstanding work in the Built Environment and being nominated for the RIBA Presidents Medal.

Tom’s attention to detail and ability to produce clear drawings is exceptional. His approach is pragmatic yet hands on and he firmly believes that the success of a project is bound by people’s inclusion in the process. In this way a level of care and ownership is built. Tom is an innovative designer committed to high quality architecture. He has a particular interest in architectural heritage and has headed up many of the studio’s conservation projects including Birnbeck Pier, Brackley Town Hall and the recently completed Maison Dieu in Dover.

Tom has gained extensive conservation experience over the past five years working with many heritage bodies such as the Heritage Lottery Fund and Historic England and is on the (AABC) Architects Accredited in Building Conservation register. Tom is on the RIBA Awards Jury Chair for East London and is a Civic Trust Award Assessor.
