Alongside this, the catacombs, one of only a few in London to remain, extend meters below the footprint of the chapel, demonstrating the special significance of this site.

Kensal Green Cemetery operates as an open cemetery with a crematorium on site, performing around 1000 cremations a year. However, space for new burials is running out and the central Grade I Listed Anglican Chapel on the site is in a state of disrepair and on the Historic England at Risk Register.
